Princess Bailey is enjoying her forever home.  She is the lady in charge.  Actually, she is such a little sweetheart, always wagging her tail (her whole bottom moves).  She sure does love to play and run and chew (just nyla bones).  We love her to pieces.

See the photo of the princess on her throne.

Dottie (re-named Dots):Tonight we gave BJ (our oldest Daughter) Dots (formerly dottie) for her Birthday. Attached is the picture. She has been wanting to keep her from the beginning. Dots joins Peace and Gigi (formerly GT) all from Dal-savers and she replaces Lucca (Peaces sister who we lost a few months ago. Also, we have 'Oddball' our westie who is named very appropriately.

Thanks

Alex:  Hi, My name is Alex. I was adopted last December (2002) by my new family. I have a spotted older brother and a spotted older sister. My older brother, Patch didn't want his picture taken at the time, so I could only send one of me and Darla posing in front of the Christmas tree. Me and Darla love to run in our fenced yard. We play tackle lots and love to run. Patch is older but he tries to keep up. Sometimes he just "yells" at us if he thinks we play too hard. My humans love me a lot. I think I'm a lap dog and love to lay on my humans constantly, especially on their heads and pillows I cuddle and mostly always hang on to my one mom with both paws when I sleep. I do this thing my family calls "seal-barking" when I want something. I sound just like a seal! When I got to my new home I was kind of shy. Now I'm not. I love it when the human kids come over and play with me. The more the better!!! My sister Darla wasn't too sure about me at first, she was always the boss. Now she loves me and cuddles next to me when I sleep. No one who comes to visit can tell us apart because we are both the same size, even though my color is black and Darla's is red. Patch is bigger so he's easier to "spot" Life is good!
Gizmo (re-named Maximus): My family and I decided to go with a puppy. After talking it over, we thought it would be best to start from scratch. We adopted one of the males, Gizmo; however, we renamed him Maximus. But we tend to call him Max or Maxi. He's great. He has adjusted tremendously well. We brought him home the day before Easter. He gets lots of love and lots of attention. The kids on our block stop by the house sometimes just to see him. He's growing so fast. We're keeping track with his height by marking the wall with a pencil. Max and Othello (our Min Pin) are slowly getting along well. As usual the puppy wants to play and the old dog wants to just sit on the porch. But now, we can have the two of them together without a leash on one of them. Thanks for all your help.

Hi,

I thought I would send you a note to let you know I am doing great. I live in Michigan with my best friends Buddy (Golden Retriever) and Kendra (7 year old girl). We all love to go outside and run around and chase toys. Buddy and Kendra love to swim but I do not like that water stuff at all. I hate it when it is bath time. My owners former Dalmatian didn't like water either so my mom doesn't make me take a bath often. I also love to cuddle up on the couch with dad and watch t.v. or sleep in someone's bed when I am tired. The rules around here are not to tough, I just can't jump on people (which is hard sometimes) or snatch food off the table or counter (that is also tough sometimes). Well, I better go now.

  Patch: Hello!
Just a note to let you know how things are going with Patch #2. We love this dog! He's really a sweetheart. It's been about two and a half months since we adopted him and things are going very well. Patch has the exact personality we were looking for. There are a few things we need to work on but we're signed up for obedience in the fall. We recently took Patch up north with us. He rode 4 hrs. in the truck great. He had a lot of fun plutching in the water although he wasn't really interested in swimming. He even enjoyed riding in the boat with his ears and lips flapping in the wind! heehee. We enjoy all of his growly talk and he's quite the clown. We are really glad we went through your organizatoin to find a new dog and recommend you to other people we know.
Thanks again for all of your help!

Ally: Hi, I have been in my home for one and a half months now. I really like it here. There are lots of dogs in my new neighborhood including one downstairs. And there are lots of squirels, which I like to sort of chase, only I can't climb trees...yet. I get as least three walks a day, which I am really excited about. I also get to go to the dog store (Petco) and shop for my food and other stuff. People always want to pet me and say I am soooo cute. I just smile and wag my tail, enjoying every minute of it. The best part is I don't have to sleep in a crate I get to sleep in a people bed. Well, mom thought I should write and say thank you for taking care of me and training me to be a good dog. Mom says I will start school soon so I can be even better. I know what school means...treats for me. I am mailing back my old leash and collar, my new one is blue, which is more my color. Anyways, I thought you could use it to help another doggy stuck in a yucky shelter like I once was. Thanks again,

Ally T. Puppydog

Anakin: Hi, my name is Anakin. I was adopted by Pat & Tammy Blan about nine months ago. My owners actually started volunteering to foster for DSDR and I was their first foster. I must have been cute enough because they adopted me!!! They don't mind that I am deaf, because I am a smart dog and I know lots of hand signals.

My owners continue to help foster other Dalmatians which mean I get to see lots of doggie friends come by. As you can see in the pictures, I live like a Puppy Prince. Thank you Dalsavers!!!

Hershey (re-named Oliver):Hi, just wanted to let you all know that I have been adopted by Oliver or Ollie for short (Formerly Hershey). Some might think it should be the other way around, but he came up to me at the Wicker Dog Park and sat in my lap and didn't want me to leave. He evidently knew that I needed a friend and was in need of being adopted by a loving pup. It was love at first sight.
He is doing well and loves his new home. He is not allowed on the furniture or in the bed (see photos) we will be working on that once he’s feeling better and is comfy in his new home. Thank you for allowing me to have a new best friend. He is wonderful and we are both very happy!

Love, Ollie and Noelle

Lou: He is still doing great full of play and energy. Now that it is getting warm he is wanting to spend as much time outside as inside. Now that spring is here I have noticed that he is afraid of thunder. The first big storm we had a load clap of thunder and Lou came running at full spead and jumped in my lap shaking with terror.
He is having a great time he usually gets to go to all functions of the local humane society. The director who did my house inspection is a big dal person and likes to promote rescue. the pictures attached were taken of lou at a micro chipping clinic. He was doing great with all the people. Since everyone had to have there dog on a leash we thought it better to cable Lou. He loves people but is afraid of other dogs. LOL

Have a good day

Molly: Her and arson have bonded and are inseparable. They play all the time. I have her trained on the invisible fence, so now she has 3 1/2 acres to run in, 2 barns to explore, an apple orchard to visit, a garden to dig in and the dog kennels she can visit and harass the other dogs in the kennel. Her and arson make the
rounds frequently and are always doing SOMETHING together, either digging something up in the yard, chasing birds or whatever. Her tail is always wagging and i think she really is happy. She got a great home and pal.

Earin Land

I have been a very busy dog and haven't written for a very very long time. I've been with my Mom for almost 3 years now. But I have never forgotten all the love and ear rubs you showered on me. I wanted to let you know that I am loved more than any other four legger I know. I am the queen of our castle as well and my grandpaw and grandma's too. I really didn't mean for so much time to pass before I wrote to tell you that I'm ok. We've had some tough times, but I have always had my mom's love and devotion. She loves me more than every spot on me, including the heart shaped ones. I even have my own songs that she sings to me, my favorite is Sadie, Sadie Beautiful Baby. I snuggle real close to her when she sings that one because she always cries. Well, I better get back to bed before she wakes up and I'm not snuggled up with her.
Smiles, kisses and a wag or too,
Love,
Sadie Murphy
